I knew far more about my laptop than I knew about my body.
That realisation hit me in 2014. At the time, I wasn't living well. I didn't think about nutrition. No blood tests. I smoked. I exercised when I felt like it, which wasn't often.
Then I got sick. A few times. My doctor told me plainly: I was putting my body under real stress, and something had to change.
That was the turning point. I discovered wearable devices, started tracking my health data, and became obsessed with understanding what was actually happening inside my body. That obsession took me to Silicon Valley, where I built two digital health products and exited in 2019.
The startup ended. The habit didn't. In fact, I became healthier after leaving than I ever was while building it. That told me something important: this had nothing to do with having a company. It was just about caring enough to pay attention.
That's why I built Myra. I want everyone to have this. Understanding your body, working with it, becoming the healthiest version of yourself. Everyone starts somewhere. What matters is that you start.
